The eligibility requirements are:
1.Completion of Basic Safety Training (BST) (or the required STCW basic safety modules, as applicable).
2.A valid INDOS number (mandatory).
3.A valid DG Shipping-approved medical fitness certificate.
4.Completion of the required DG Shipping e-learning modules before taking the exit examination, as per current DGS guidelines.
The OCTF course is a mandatory STCW-compliant training program designed for officers, ratings, cadets, and other seafarers who are assigned duties related to cargo or cargo equipment on oil and chemical tankers. The course provides the knowledge and practical skills required to perform cargo operations safely while protecting personnel, the vessel, and the marine environment.
